What can you offer me as a supervisor?

Hypnotherapy supervision is a crucial part of personal development and is also requirements stated by various professional bodies. My style of approaches to developers supervisory style which is informative, friendly, and proactive approach; this helps you to get the best out of yourself and your clients in your hypnotherapy practice. I promote an union of professional cooperation that acts alongside either the GHR or National Hypnotherapy framework and ensures that you are working ethically and safely.

To do this, we will look at what you are good at, what is not working for you and develop skills and strategies in a solution-focused approach to give you the confidence and skills to take on whatever challenge your hypnotherapeutic career will present you.

We will look at to achieve this:

  • The client
  • Interventions used
  • Client and therapist relationship
  • Your process (how you work and feel about a case)
  • The therapist supervisor relationship
  • The supervisors process
  • Wider issues

Through dynamic and productive conversations we will learn grow to grow not through harsh criticism or belittling but develop through a positive engagement and education that encourages and supports you throughout our journey together.

Framework and length of supervision:

I follow the GHR ethical framework. The GHR states that newly qualified registrants are expected to engage in this beneficial process for a minimum of 2 hours in any 3 month period during their first 2 years of practice. However, because of the benefits of regular supervision many hypnotherapists, including myself, continue to engage in supervision after these first 2 years of practice.

I offer a minimum of one supervision session each month. Each session will last for 50 minutes. I offer sessions I work on a 121 basis that is either via a face to face session at Wakefield, Skype or via phone.

I understand that every therapist is an individual, and I will work with you to find the appropriate duration and frequency of supervision to match your own circumstances and current workload. I recommend a minimum 50 minute slot for the maximum benefit, but, if you need a shorter or longer amount of time I will negotiate this with you and charge for the actual time spent in session.

I charge £50 per session for qualified hypnotherapists.

For students, or practitioners in their first year, I offer the discounted price of £25 per session.
