Insomnia session: 

How many sessions would I need?

I would recommend 1-2 sessions for acute insomnia and for all other types at least 6 sessions to help identify route causes to guarantee you a better nights sleep.

Types of Insomnia:

Acute Insomnia:

This is a brief sleep disturbance often brought on by stress or a loss such as a break up or death of a loved one. This form of insomnia is due to a life event.

Chronic Insomnia:

This is usually present in people who have had a history for sleep disturbances. Chronic insomnia occurs for three or more consecutive nights per week for at least three months.

Comorbid Insomnia.

This form of insomnia is usually coupled with another condition such as pain, and as a result you will find it hard to sleep. Mental health issues such as anxiety or depression can promote this form of insomnia.

Common causes of Insomnia

  • Drinking regularly
  • Worry
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • A large caffeine intake
  • Irregular shift patterns
  • Over thinking issue
