What is supervision?
Supervision is tailor made support that helps you as a therapist to develop the key skills that you need to run a successful practise. My supervision approach is to be proactive and solution focused; each session will help you to identify your own strengths and resources as we work together in a professional union.
I will act as a supervisor who will encourage you be encouraging you to develop existing strengths, promoting your learning and boost your creativity when it comes to client care. You will be able to reflect on what you are doing well, identify areas where you may want to make some changes, and share successes and improvements in a safe, non-judgemental environment. My goal is to make to help you become a practitioner who offers an outstanding professional service while acting responsibility in an ethical frame work.
Framework and length of supervision:
I follow the GHR ethical framework. The GHR states that newly qualified registrants are expected to engage in this beneficial process for a minimum of 2 hours in any 3 month period during their first 2 years of practice. However, because of the benefits of regular supervision many hypnotherapists, including myself, continue to engage in supervision after these first 2 years of practice.
I offer a minimum of one supervision session each month. Each session will last for 50 minutes. I offer sessions I work on a 121 basis that is either via a face to face session at Wakefield, Skype or via phone.
I understand that every therapist is an individual, and I will work with you to find the appropriate duration and frequency of supervision to match your own circumstances and current workload. I recommend a minimum 50 minute slot for the maximum benefit, but, if you need a shorter or longer amount of time I will negotiate this with you and charge for the actual time spent in session.
I charge £50 per session for qualified hypnotherapists.
For students, or practitioners in their first year, I offer the discounted price of £25 per session.
